Dr Jennifer Schulz Moore is an Associate Professor at UNSW, Australia. She is also an Adjunct A/Professor in Public Health at the Auckland University of Technology, Aotearoa NZ and a Global Law Professor of Health Law, KU Leuven University, Belgium. She currently teaches Health Law, Torts, Introducing Law and Justice, and Epidemiology. She was a registered doctor (overseas) and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the NZ High Court and a solicitor of the NSW Supreme Court. Dr Schulz holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne’s Medical Faculty and a LLB from Victoria Law Faculty, NZ. She is a Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellow (Japan) and was the 2015-2016 New Zealand Harkness Fellow in Healthcare Policy and Practice at Stanford University, USA. Dr Schulz Moore has worked extensively in Australia, Aotearoa, the USA, China, Japan, and Europe. From 2011-2012 she was a Legal and Policy Advisor to the New Zealand Law Commissioners, which included work on NZ’s death investigation and coronial laws. Her research focuses on the role of coronial data, patient voice and law in improving the quality and safety of health and legal systems. Jennifer’s research also examines how gendered abortion and torts laws impact women and girls.
