Dr Rubén Fernández-Rodríguez, PhD, PT

Dr Rubén Fernández-Rodríguez is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Food & Mood Centre, Deakin Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT). He is a member of the Grounded Minds Consortium, a collaboration between Deakin and Flinders University to research the soil-gut-brain connection. Rubén's research is primarily focused on nutrition, mental health, and cardiometabolic health. His interests are related to sustainable and healthy diets that promote planetary health, with special attention to mental health and school meals interventions. He has been conducting systematic qualitative reviews with a feminist lens, and he is an advocate for Sex & Gender equity in research and clinical practice.
