I am in the final year of my PhD studies interested in how hormones affect immune function. As part of the Gender and Immunity (GIM) study, my research is focused on performing immune phenotyping experiments in our clinical cohort of young trans people engaging with gender-affirming hormone treatment (GAHT). We are particularly interested in investigating antibody-producing B cells and antiviral pDCs, to better understand immune function in young trans people.
