Women's Mental Health Australia

Katrina Locandro is the Chief Operating Officer of Women's Mental Health Australia, the nation's leading organisation dedicated to advancing women's mental health across the lifespan. Over the past several years, Katrina has shaped the organisation into a nationally recognised voice for women's mental health, leading its strategic growth beyond awareness raising to become an organisation that influences policy, invests in gender-specific research, and develops evidence-informed programs that address the gaps in Australia's mental health system. With a background in marketing, communications and strategy; Katrina brings a unique perspective to women's mental health, combining executive leadership with the ability to translate lived experience, research and policy into meaningful reform and organisational priorities. She works alongside government, researchers, clinicians and industry to help shape more responsive, evidence-informed approaches to women's mental health, ensuring women's voices are reflected in the decisions that influence care across Australia. In addition to her executive leadership role, Katrina serves on a number of national advisory groups and expert panels across the health and mental health sectors, contributing to consumer engagement, workforce development and healthcare policy. She is recognised for bringing together strategic leadership, operational expertise and lived experience to drive meaningful change across the Australian health landscape.
