Mx Majella Jones, Bachelor of Nutrition Science, Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics
Monash University
Majella (they/them) is a White, nonbinary, queer, kink-oriented, multiply neurodivergent, chronically ill, disabled person based in Naarm on unceded Wurundjeri land. They are an accredited dietitian and PhD candidate at Monash University, completing their thesis exploring TGD health and nutrition education and practice. Majella is a researcher, educator, and advocate for inclusive and affirming healthcare education, practice, and research approaches. They hold particular interest in nutrition and health considerations for intersectional experiences of chronic illness (such as ME/CFS, Long Covid, hEDS, Dysautonomia, MCAS) in neurodivergent and disabled SBLGBTQIA+ people with eating differences, difficulties and disorders. Majella applies an anti-colonial, disability justice, weight and body inclusive, harm reduction, intersectional, and depathologising approach to their work. They're passionate about depathologising diversity, and challenging oppressive, colonial, cisheteronormative, weight-centric, ableist norms that stigmatise, devalue, silence, and exclude diverse identities and experiences.
