Angela is a clinician researcher, working at the University of Sydney as Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and as a Transplant Physician at Westmead Hospital in Australia. She is an internationally renowned health services researcher and evidence integration expert. Her interests centre on health equity, with a focus on women and intersectionality, in the context of multi-morbidity, specifically transplantation, cancer, infection and cardiovascular disease. Her research program tackles health literacy, risk tolerance and eliciting and integrating patient preferences, and supporting effective patient self-management in multi-morbidity, as well as integrating real world data for innovative sustainable health service re-design to better meet the needs of individuals and the nation. She holds leadership positions with the Australia and New Zealand Society of Nephrology and the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand. She was elected as Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences in 2023, and Fellow of the International Society of Nephrology in 2025. Angela has published over 300 journal articles, 11 book chapters, and 30 reports, across 57 topics [Scival].
